Hello! I am Voula Kiousis Founder and Creator of 4 Amazing Kids Apparel.
4 Amazing Kids Apparel is a socially conscious children’s apparel line locally made and printed in Toronto, Ontario, Canada that proudly supports organizations that promote youth empowerment and mental health initiatives.
What differentiates 4 Amazing Kids from other children’s apparel companies is that it is less about shirts and more about a message that strives to create a strong community of kids through kindness, empowerment and sharing.
The idea for the brand started three years ago, after the birth of my fourth child, when I felt the need too create something tangible in hope to help kids of all ages feel that they are not alone, that they are powerful and amazing.
Throughout most of my childhood and adult life, I have suffered from generalized anxiety disorder that trickled into my life as a mother, causing post-partum depression and anxiety. Through research and assistance, I found information that helped and enabled me to conquer my mental health struggles. I was shocked by the stigma and lack of help and information available regarding mental health. There is much more awareness now than ever, but there is still a lot of work to be done!
An end to stigma and access to mental health initiatives for all is not the only goal. As a parent, some of the most difficult situations I have faced are helping my children in navigating the way they form and maintain healthy relationships with friends and with themselves. Most discussions I have with other parents revolve around their concerns about teaching children how to cope with bullying and how not to be a bully in the digital age. 4 Amazing Kids aims to inspire empathy in children, encouraging them to be kind and inclusive so all community members know that they are amazing, no matter what!
Through empowering slogans and our “Kindness Crew” shirt, I am proposing a movement to show that even small gestures of kindness can make a big difference.
Please join me to create powerful communities of kids with no stigma. A positive world where we empower our children and each other with kindness and love.
